SERVICES

Acupressure Therapy

With its origins in Ancient China, today's acupressure techniques are derived from a range of traditional Eastern healing practices in combination with additional natural restorative methods.

Heidi performs acupressure massage therapy by applying gentle pressure to precise points on the body. Acupressure balances the body’s opposing forces of negative “Yin” and positive “Yang” energy and not only treats the entire body structure, but also seeks to balance the mind and spirit.

Acupressure recipients regularly report significant relief and positive results from a variety of health conditions that range from preventing nausea following chemotherapy treatments in cancer patients, to alleviating chronic depression and anxiety disorders.

CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral therapy (also known as Cranial Sacral therapy) is a gentle, noninvasive form of bodywork that addresses the bones of the head, spinal column, and sacrum. The goal is to release compression in those areas which alleviates stress and pain. This alternative therapy focuses primarily on the concept of "primary respiration" and regulating the flow of cerebrospinal fluid by using therapeutic touch to manipulate the synarthrodial joints of the cranium.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage concentrates on the deeper layers of the body’s soft tissue to release persistent pain and tension. Slow and methodical strokes are applied to the top layers of affected areas in order to penetrate to deeper muscle layers and achieve lasting relief from chronic pain. Conditions that require deep tissue massage often derive from work related posture problems, sports injuries, or problems that have developed from ongoing stress and tension resulting in persistent muscle pain that commonly occurs in the neck, lower back, shoulders, arms, and legs.

Hot towels are incorporated for an added level of relaxation and relief.

Hot Stone Massage Therapy

With this relaxing technique heat is transferred to the body using specialized polished stones which are placed at key points on the body. Heat makes the muscles expand and become more pliable, allowing a professional therapist to get deep into the tissue to remove knots and eliminate tension.

Massage is always a beneficial and soothing therapeutic tool, and the addition of hot stones provides an extra level of relaxation.

*Stones need to be prepared prior to appointment. When scheduling, please mention your interest in a Hot Stone massage.

Myofascial Release

Trauma or injury in a particular area can lead to myofascial dysfunctions that limit your range of motion and compress muscles or nerves causing decreased blood circulation. The result is chronic pain and reduced physical performance. Myofascial release techniques stretch and release adhesion and condition your body to release natural endorphins. Although myofascial release techniques are gentle, it has a significant and profound effect on the body, providing lasting relief.

Myofascial release therapy is the release of the connective tissue surrounding the muscle fiber that supports your entire body. When restricted, the connective tissue (known as fascia) can cause significant problems, particularly with posture. Moderate, sustained pressure and kneading style strokes allow these connective tissue fibers to loosen and become more flexible, relieving persistent tension that is the frequent cause of chronic pain.

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy may be one of the most beneficial times to receive regular massage therapy treatments. As a healthy way to reduce stress and promote overall wellness, pregnancy massage can relax tense muscles, relieve stress on weight-bearing joints (ankles, low back, pelvis), ease sore spots, reduce swelling, and improve circulation and mobility.

QiGong Massage

Qigong (also spelled Ch'i Kung) is a powerful system of healing and energy medicine from China. It is the art and science of using breathing techniques, gentle movement, and meditation to cleanse, strengthen, and circulate the life energy (qi).

During a Qi gong healing session you will experience deep relaxation, heightened sense of well-being, personalized attention for your goals, and harmonization of cellular structure through gentle movement.

QiGong massage is gaining popularity as a treatment method for children that improves behavior, social & language skills, and reduces sensory symptoms.

Raindrop Therapy

Raindrop Therapy combines the science of aromatherapy with the techniques of reflexology and massage in the application of essential oils which are applied on various areas of the body to bring structural and electrical alignment. Experience a unique, targeted massage and energy approaches with pure, authentic essential oils for a deeply harmonizing, rejuvenating, and relaxing experience.

Reflexology

With its roots in acupuncture, reflexology is the application of pressure on precise points of the hands and feet to stimulate healing energy in corresponding parts in the body. Not to be confused with a simple foot massage, reflexology promotes relaxation, improves blood circulation, reduces pain and promotes overall well-being.

Reflexology is a precise massage technique applied to specific pressure points on the feet or hands as a means of manipulating entire networks of organs, glands, and tissue functions of the body.

Although reflexology treatment is administered to restore and rebalance the entire body, Heidi can personalize treatments to focus on the particular issues and problems that you may be facing.

Reflexology is beneficial for people of all ages, from babies to seniors, and is helpful in the treatment of many conditions that include anxiety, arthritis, back pain, depression, digestive disorders, hormonal imbalances, fertility issues, migraine headaches, sports injuries, and preparation for childbirth.

Reiki Treatments

The goal of Reiki therapy is to not only treat the symptoms of a condition, but heal it through clearing and balancing the body’s energy pathways.

Reiki is a Japanese therapy technique that promotes deep relaxation and stress relief as the basis for healing of many types of ailments. Administered with the hands that never actually touch the body; Reiki treatments focus on directing a balanced energy flow to naturally stimulate the body’s immune system. Despite the absence of actual physical contact, individuals report feeling a tingling sensation followed by a significant decrease in pain and accompanying symptoms. An entirely holistic practice, Reiki offers many benefits to both the mind and body that include increased energy and an overall sense of well-being.

Swedish Massage

One of the most popular techniques for physical relaxation and stress relief, Swedish massage soothes aching muscles with a therapeutic touch that offers deep relaxation and loosens the top layers of muscle tissue.

Also known as relaxation massage, Swedish massage uses kneading, flowing strokes, stretching, and taps that are applied with a deep or light pressure following a thorough assessment of each client’s precise needs.

Swedish massage is ideal for relaxation, stress relief, reducing fatigue and anxiety, pain management and reduction, and improved circulation to help drain toxins from the body.

Hot towels are incorporated for an added level of relaxation and relief.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point Therapy is a massage technique that alleviates pain through isolated pressure and release of specific trigger points on the body. Treatments provide relaxation and significant relief from chronic pain.

Trigger points in the body, commonly known as “muscle knots” consist of tense and tight areas of muscle tissue that is frequently the source of pain. The source of the pain however, may actually originate in other parts of the body. A trigger point or ‘knot’ in the back for example, may cause debilitating pain in the neck area. Heidi is trained and experienced in identifying the source of muscle pain and administering treatments to provide lasting relief from chronic pain.

Trigger point therapy is a common relief practice for decreased mobility and fibromyalgia.
